What to Wear: Summer BBQ Style 101

With Summer in full swing, we know you may be spending your time on-the-go from Summertime travel to swimming pool fun, holiday festivities, and of course our topic of discussion, neighborhood Summer BBQ’s! We thought it was only fair to share with our readers, friends, and fashionistas alike our Top 3 outfits of choice when you’ve got hot dogs, watermelon, and corn on the cob on the brain!

Floral Maxi

Spice up a classic frock with fun accessories. We love the white sunnies trend, and these Saint Laurent beauties have us salivating. Mustard wedges compliment the cherry red dress–plus they’re easy to balance in on the grass–and the neckerchief is still standing strong as an accessory staple. For an alternative look, style the scarf tied in your hair like this: hello glow.

Dress: Privacy Please, Nordstrom; Shoes: Topshop, Nordstrom; Sunnies: Saint Laurent, Neiman Marcus; Scarf: Rockins, Saks.

Playful Romper

It’s hot, so keep it cool with a chic romper. We love the neutral tones in this playsuit, so we kept the whole look neutral with white espadrille kicks, a soft blush hat and mixed metal (silver and rose gold) drop earrings.

Romper: Anthropologie; Hat: Hat Attack NY Rowe; Earrings: HoneyRoseK; Shoes: Anthropologie.

Keeping it Casual

Sometimes an event just calls for jeans and tee attire. But that doesn’t mean we sacrifice style! These wide leg crops are fantastic, and pair effortlessly with a knotted-front tee. Since we kept the ensemble simple, we kicked it up a notch with these adorable red and white gingham slides and a basket weave handbag that both screams Summer!

Denim: Madewell; Tee: Madewell; Handbag: Misa; Slides: Anthropologie.
