LET’S STYLE…

THE TROUSER

TWO WAYS

MAKE IT… BUSINESS CASUAL

WHITNEY’S TAKE:

We were inspired by our recent Alice + Olivia Trunk Show, especially their Classics Edit, which highlighted timeless pieces every working woman can truly rely on—like the Olivia Wide Leg Pant in Dark Chocolate.

Choosing brown over traditional black feels like a fresh, modern shift while still feeling polished and appropriate for the workplace.

For an easy business casual look, pair these trousers with a neutral sweater in ivory or cream to soften the structure and keep the palette warm.

I finished the look by layering in texture with a suede trench and suede boots, and added one final stylist touch by draping a sweater over the shoulders for a bit of dimension and an effortless, pulled-together feel.

BEN’S TAKE:

When styling these trousers for a business-professional setting, I recommend anchoring the look with the matching Alice + Olivia blazer to create a sleek, modern suit moment.

A silk blouse softens the tailoring with a feminine touch, while a suede tote introduces subtle texture and dimension.

With wide-leg trousers, a pointed-toe pump is always my go-to; it balances the volume of the pant and adds a sense of sharpness and structure, keeping the overall silhouette refined and impeccably polished.

LET’S STYLE…

THE BLAZER

TWO WAYS

MAKE IT… BUSINESS CASUAL

WHIT’S TAKE:

Everyone needs a great black blazer in their closet, and the Burns Fitted Blazer from Alice + Olivia is a timeless & tailored piece for every occasion.

For a business casual setting, I paired it back to fabrics and textures that ground the formalness of our jacket.

A dark rinse trouser denim and short-sleeve sweater put an elevated twist on the standard t-shirt and jeans.

Lastly, I picked shoes with a point or square toe to help balance and elongate the leg, and a scarf with a fun pattern that adds a chic touch of color when worn around the neck or attached to your everyday tote!

MAKE IT… BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL

CANDACE’S TAKE:

Business professional is that classic crisp business look that is ultra polished and finished! Without question, a black blazer is a staple and can be styled many ways.

On a day that calls for business professional dress, we love to lean into pairing our go-to black blazer with a complimentary black pant. To complete the look, an easy silk blouse with a neck tie for an extra dose of personality, mixed metal jewelry and brown hued accessories for a subtle color/textural pop.

This look can naturally take you from the all day meetings into a working dinner all while feeling polished and chic. When transitioning to dinner, you can always drape the blazer on your shoulders for a little change of pace and/or add a classic scarf that acts as a wrap. And, oh yes, swap the tote for a little fun clutch.
