Stars, Stripes, and Style: What We’re Wearing ‘4’ the 4th

Our seasoned stylists are ready to show up in style for the nation’s biggest birthday party – its own!

From parades to poolsides, looking good on a sunny, celebratory day like the Fourth requires tasteful, intentional looks that can transition between activities with ease – a task easier said than done. But don’t worry, we’ve got your back (and your outfit inspo). After all, that’s what personal stylists are for!

Each member of our team has hand-picked pieces that come together to create equally elevated and effortless presentations, no matter where or how you’re celebrating. Plus, they’re sharing how they’ll be spending the special day.

We hope their looks spark ideas for a fashion-forward Fourth that puts you just as center stage as the fireworks!

Whitney:

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating & Styling:

“The Fourth of July for us always starts off with the parade in Downtown Delaware. We’ll head out early to set seats at the perfect spot and then grab a drink (coffee for the adults and fruity drinks/tea for the kids) at our favorite local spot, Coffeeology, while we wait. The rest of the day is casual family time and the smells of lunch cooking on the grill!

This summer is officially HOT! I have been loving linen Bermuda shorts to keep my look elevated and stay cool. My trusty L.L. Bean Boat and Tote goes everywhere with me when we have all our kids – it fits all the snacks and water bottles, and stands on its own. What more could you ask for!”

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating & Styling:

“The 4th of July is very casual for us! We usually walk to the parade in Uptown Westerville and enjoy the community festivities with family and friends. From there, we head to a family picnic for lots of summer eats and quality time in the pool. Always a good time indeed.

I like to keep my look for this holiday easy and breezy. I am mega obsessed with these culotte shorts from MOTHER! Just so dang good. I’ll wear them for daytime festivities and then utilize them as a cover-up over my swimsuit!”

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating:

“The 4th of July always starts with a wonderful morning parade, followed by party-hopping for food, drinks, and festive fun around the neighborhood.

If we’re lucky, we make it to the fireworks!

We love celebrating with our amazing friends and family before heading to the lake. Joy for all!”

🇺🇸How He’s Celebrating & Styling:

“Our celebration will begin with the neighborhood parade, then it’s off to backyard parties and (fingers crossed) fireworks!

There have been a lot of fun summer pop-up trends for men this year! Two of them I’m incorporating into my look for the 4th of July: the crocheted cabana shirt and the suede slip-on sneaker.

I love not just the ease, but also the elevated nature of the cabana shirt—it’s a nice lift from your basic t-shirt. The sneaker pairs perfectly with chino shorts or a light summer denim.”

🇺🇸What He’s Wearing:

Tee: Vince Cotton & Linen-Blend Crochet Cabana Shirt

Shorts: J. Crew Portsider Stretch Chino Short

Sneaker: Vince Lakewood Suede Sneaker

Belt: Magnanni Nadal Belt

Sunnies: Gucci Men’s Aviator Sunglasses

Whit:

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating & Styling:

“Our Fourth of July is always pretty low key:

My husband and I typically ride our bikes down to watch the parade & then hit up a backyard BBQ with friends or family.

I am really digging the vest trend for this summer, whether it be in linen, cotton, or any other fabrication. It’s a great piece to elevate my go-to denim shorts and ultimately look chic while staying cool!

Brit:

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating & Styling:

“This summer, I’m loving the ease of the cropped button down. It’s a great alternative to a simple tee and instantly feels leveled up.

For the Fourth, I’ll be pairing mine with these linen pants and red accessories to watch fireworks and hang out with my family in small town Ohio.

Before the fireworks, weather permitting, we’ll spend the day by the pool and have an all-American cookout. I love a classic, Midwest 4th of July!

Christine:

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating & Styling:

“The 4th of July is typically very laid back for me. I’ll relax by the pool and may pop over to a friend’s for a casual cookout and some fireworks.

As always, I love a monochromatic look with a touch of sheer fabric — very elevated and a great way to stay cool in the heat!”

 🇺🇸What She’s Wearing:

Tank: Athleta Apero Mesh Tank

Bralette/Cami: Athleta Be Free Tank

Skirt: Anthropology’s The Tilda Maxi Slip Skirt

Sandal: Larroude Annie Flat

Sunnies: Ray-Ban Round Sunglasses

Earrings: DEMARSON’s Allegra Earrings

McKenna:

🇺🇸How She’s Celebrating & Styling:

“As a girly who lives online for a living, I love taking a day fully off the screen and soaking in the sun!

I’ll start with a cute patio brunch for some red, white, and blue pancakes before heading to a cookout later in the day that will (hopefully) lead into watching some fireworks!

On a day that will predominantly be spent outside, it’s important to me that the pieces I wear are just as breathable as they are beautiful. That’s why I’ve been loving the reign of all things button up, like the Openwork Waistcoat’s knit, aerated fabric.

The design of Tuckernuck’s boxer-inspired short feels like a fresh spin reminiscent of a vintage style, so I wanted to pair it with simple, classic accessories that match the nostalgic energy.”

 🇺🇸What She’s Wearing:

Top: Mango Openwork Knitted Waistcoat

Short: Tuckernuck Blue Stripe Seersucker Raven Short

Bag: Coach Straw Cargo 26 Tote Bag

Sandal: Madewell Lala Thong Sandals

Sunnies: Warby Parker Kadri Sunglasses

Earrings: Jenny Bird Chunky Doune Hoops

Bracelet: ABLE Chunky Cuff Bracelet
