Team Insider: Our Top 6 Crochet Pieces

One of the biggest trends we saw for Spring/Summer 2019 was crochet/netting, which happened to also be one of the biggest question marks from our clients as far as “Can I wear this trend?” “How do I wear this trend?” “Is this trend relevant to me?!” And our answer is…a big Y-e-s! Crochet doesn’t mean your grandma’s knitted sweater, and netting doesn’t mean mermaid-chic. This Summer, try layering a crochet cover-up over your swimwear, carry that cool netted bag, go full crochet with a dress and a silk slip underneath, or accent with your footwear. We pulled our Top Fav Crochet pieces for some inspo! Enjoy!

Crochet Duster: Oh so perfect for summer and early Fall nights. Dress up with a great trouser pant or make casual by layering over a flowing summer knit dress. Missoni Crochet-knit Coat, NET-A-PORTER; $2012.50.
Crochet Dress: A crochet dress…perfect for a summer night. We love it with a great platform sandal and top handle bag. MICHAEL Michael Kors Crocheted Sheer-Effect Midi Dress, Bloomingdales; $275.
Crochet Skirt: A crochet skirt? Why yes. In fact, a skirt is a lovely way to make this trend feel all the more elevated. We love that this one, by Theory, is high waisted and longer in length…pair this beauty with a structured blazer and you are all set for the office. Or pair it with a simple tee and denim jacket for a more casual approach. Theory Crocheted Skirt, Shopbop; $475.
Crocheted Tote: It’s important to have a crochet handbag in your line up for the Spring/Summer season. This one by Ulla Johnson is particularly lovely, as the gold hardware gives it that extra touch of luxurious. Also, we love that this bag is lined and spacious…you can carry all the things! Ulla Johnson Kala Crocheted Cotton Tote, NET-A-PORTER; $270.
Crochet Cover-Up: how chic is this cover up? Perfect for adding some skin to a full coverage swimsuit, or work over a bikini as well. Throw on a pair of cut off shorts and you have a right-off-the-beach ensemble with a black one piece or bikini top:) Melissa Odabash, Shopbop; $280.
Crochet Slides: Just an easy way to get “one foot forward” with this trend. GANNI Crocheted Slides, NET-A-PORTER; $96.
