Dressing for the office in summer heat is hard. You want to stay cool in the sun, but you must also follow office rules. Heavy fabrics trap heat and light clothes look too casual. You need to balance personal comfort with a professional look.

When looking for office trousers, I chose this twill pair from Reiss because they resist creasing and stay smooth and neat all day long. They come in a couple of different colors as well as Tall and Petite sizes!

Ben’s Summer-to-Fall Men’s Look:

For the business casual environment, I like to pair a short sleeve polo with a blazer during the warmer months. The fabrication and lining (or lack of lining) of the blazer is the key! This one from Peter Millar is partially lined and made of wool, silk, and linen, keeping it light and breathable.

I opted for an unbranded polo made of pima cotton to give it a more professional vibe; that way, when you remove the blazer, you still feel polished with it tucked in and paired back to a dressy loafer and matching belt.
