WARDROBE THERAPY: What We’re Wearing this Holiday Season 2023

The holidays are a very special time for all of us, filled with relaxing with loved ones! We are so excited to share our holiday traditions and What We’re Wearing this Holiday Season!

Elizabeth: Our family always looks forward to Christmas Eve service, where we can all be together to celebrate! I love this velvet jogger because it’s so chic for church but equally comfy for heading home to dinner with our family and for looking forward to the coming days of celebration with our extended families!
Christy: This Holiday Season is all about the sparkle! From gift-exchanging dinners with girlfriends to at-home parties and evenings or date nights with the hubby, I’m dressing up! One look I’m excited to try is an all-white ensemble with a pop of red–classic yet so of the moment.

BLAZER | SWEATER | SKIRT | SHOES | BAG | EARRINGS

Candace: This holiday season, I’m excited to get dressed! From elevated holiday gatherings to our holiday tradition of grabbing dinner at Lindey’s on Christmas Eve, I’ve decided I’m really going to lean into this new silk maxi skirt I just found at Anthropologie. I love that this piece has the ability to flex between super dressy to more of that casual holiday chic vibe. Also looking forward to styling it casually for the remainder of winter with sneakers, ankle boots, and everything in between!

COAT | SWEATER | PANTS | BELT | SHOES | SCARF

Ben: Christmas for us is pretty casual. Dinner at my sister’s house on Christmas Eve with lots of Euchre, darts, and tabletop shuffleboard! I love a dark wash (almost) raw pair of jeans because they get better with age and wear!  I recently found these at Buck Mason, and they are definitely on my Christmas list this year. I’d style these with a textured mock neck sweater (I love turtlenecks in winter, too!) and these OH-SO-GOOD suede Chelsea boots that I just got from Magnanni (don’t forget the matching belt!). I’d then top it off with this lux camel top coat, which is a wardrobe staple, gents!

BLAZER | SHIRT | PANTS | SHOES | NECKLACE

Whitney: Christmas celebrations last from Christmas Eve all the way to the New Year for us! It’s full of family time, and we stay pretty casual. I saw these rhinestone ’90s jeans in J.Crew a few weeks back and, to my surprise, loved them! It’s been a fun way to add a little sparkle into my day-to-day during the holiday season. I’ll style these with an oversized houndstooth blazer like this one from Anine Bing with a classic white t-shirt underneath. And because I love a pop of red this season, these Mary Jane flats will polish off my casual holiday look.

BLAZER | DRESS | TIGHTS | SHOES | BRACELET

Iris: Last month, while in New York, I splurged on these Staud boots that I’ve had my eye on for months. Naturally, I find any and every occasion to wear them! I’m pairing the boots with a red bodycon dress but adding an oversized blazer to balance out the tightness of the dress. Instead of a classic black tight, I chose a cocoa brown pair for a little more contrast. And, of course, leaning into the silver moment with the cuff bracelet. This year, my boyfriend and I will be celebrating our Christmas at one of our favorite restaurants in Columbus, Speck!

BLAZER | SHIRT | PANTS | SHOES | BAG | EARRINGS

Britt: Christmas and New Years is a marathon week to get time with all of the families, and following a day of lounging around watching football and opening gifts, we usually keep things pretty low-key for dinner attire – as in my brother may or may not wear the Griswold family Christmas shirt I got him for our gift exchange one year. However, I love the opportunity to go a little glitz & glam for our Christmas Eve service. It’s such a joyful time to celebrate the coming of our Savior! I will pull out a pair of sequin pants (I’m loving this classic style from J.Crew) and make it luxe with a classic blazer and a great heel. Keeping the look to monochromatic black allows me to play with a variety of textures.

Christine: This year, I’ll kick the holidays off on December 23rd at my good friend’s house as they host a party -complete with a fun white elephant exchange. As for Christmas Eve, whether I’m in Columbus or traveling, the day is spent cooking, baking, listening to Christmas music, and laughing with my kids/family. This year, my kids and I will be heading “home” to Niles, where we’ll spend time with family and friends. Christmas Day is spent watching football or movies, so we just keep it comfy!! On Christmas Eve, however, as we visit family, we’ll take it up a notch, still remaining comfortable. I’m loving this slip skirt from Reformation for its ease and versatility, paired with a classic v-neck sweater and booties. Throw on a pop of color with my coat, and I’m ready to go!
