THIS OR THAT: Classic Prints VS. Bohemian Prints

Another week, another chance to share a top trend for fall and just how we are styling it! This time we are talking prints, and there are two major concepts represented. THIS: Classic prints such as logos and menswear plaids, checks and stripes. That: Bohemian-inspired prints that represent more fluidity. Prints are a great way to liven up any look whether you are heading into work or out to dinner. Plus, they just make us happy 🙂

LOGO PRINT
| BOHO PRINT
THIS: This Fendi beauty is expensive, but she sure is timeless. We can see ourselves styling this piece with a great black blazer, a long black duster cardigan, a leather moto jacket, a knee high boot…a combat boot…a black pump, we could go on and on!
THAT: We love this boho print blouse from A.L.C. An updated print for the gal that wants a bit of whim to add to her wardrobe.
Classy, but still chic. And the neckline is adored by all. Great with black leather pants or dark straight or flared denim!
LOGO PRINT | FLORAL PRINT
THIS: This classic menswear-inspired print provides that tailored and streamlined look we love. Because the fit is a bit more oversized, style it with a slim flat front pant and a simple fitted top or blouse for a great wear-to-work look. Or keep it casual with jeans as shown! We love the versatility of a good printed blazer.

THAT: A maxi dress for fall is always a good idea, and the floral print is a fresh take and nod to the boho/70s-inspired theme you’re probably noticing everywhere. We love this dress styled with the cowboy boot, but a tall, sleek brown leather or nude suede boot would give this an entirely different and chic look, topped with a belt at the natural waist to complement OR a great suede or leather jacket that hits at the waistline. Either of these will help break up the print and create a nice stopping point at the middle, resulting in balance.

LOGO PRINT | FAIR ISLE PRINT
THIS: This sporty top from Balmain would be great paired with their matching biker short and sneaker, or dressed up with a black denim and boots.  Either way, this would be a great statement piece for any wardrobe.
THAT: Fair Isle print is having a moment this season.  Vogue calls it a “go-to street style”  and we saw many designers sending some variation of this print down the runway.  This one from Frame paired with a great denim and boots will have you set whether you’re at the ski lodge or sitting around a bonfire with friends.
